Soft-Tex International Announces Strategic Reorganization; Hires Bedding Industry Veteran Chris Marsh as New Chief Marketing Officer
Soft-Tex International is pleased to announce a strategic reorganization of the company’s marketing and sales divisions effective September 1st to capitalize on the rapidly evolving bedding retail landscape and more closely align the business with key growth initiatives.
The new structure centralizes Soft-Tex’s marketing organization as a shared service under the leadership of newly hired Chief Marketing Officer, Chris Marsh. Marsh joins Soft-Tex with significant experience as a bedding industry executive having served as a Divisional Merchandise Manager at Macy’s, Vice President at Mattress Firm, and most recently CEO of YogaBed which was recently acquired. Marsh is charged with driving global marketing efforts supporting the growth of Soft-Tex brands and product collections both online and in stores.
Marsh’s team includes 3 direct reports and their teams spanning traditional and digital marketing efforts:
- Kayla McNeil, newly promoted Director of Marketing and Commercialization, whose primary focus will be bringing new products, brands, and ideas to market. McNeil will also oversee the Soft-Tex graphics team.
- Eric Hasper, Lead Designer and Showroom Manager, provides direction for the visual direction for all of Soft-Tex’s products and innovation while also supporting the company as showroom manager showcasing Soft-Tex’s innovative design year round for market events, customer meetings, and more.
- Taylor Jones, Director of Digital Marketing & eCommerce, manages the Soft-Tex Digital group responsible for all eCommerce and digital marketing efforts as well as corporate communications, websites, and intellectual property.
In the sales division, John Timmerman, Vice President of the Furniture and Mattress Division, has been promoted to the Senior Leadership Team and Dionne Pedersen has been hired as Executive Sales Associate.
